Through the Stetson Wind project, Washington County and the State of Maine will enjoy many economic benefits.

More tax revenue:
$4 million in tax payments will be made to local communities over a 20-year period.

More jobs and revenue for Maine residents:
A quarter of the total project costs are projected to stay in Maine in the form of construction and engineering. Contracts could exceed $31 million.

Good for local economy:
Local resources will be used as much as possible during construction–personnel, gravel, trucking, lodging, gas and food.

Stable prices:
Energy can be delivered at prices that are not subject to fluctuating fuel costs or international affairs.
