Through the Stetson Wind project, Washington County and the State of Maine will enjoy many economic benefits.

• More tax revenue: An estimated $4 to $6 million in tax payments will be made to Washington County over a 20-year period.
• More jobs and revenue for Maine residents: Of the estimated $65 million spent for construction, engineering, and development services, about $50 million was spent with Maine businesses.
• Good for local economy: Local resources will be used as much as possible during construction–personnel, gravel, trucking, lodging, gas and food.
• Stable prices: Energy can be delivered at prices that are not subject to fluctuating fuel costs or international affairs.
